I've just got way too many projects. This one had/has potential, but I don't have any more potential time. For sale is my xO400, or "exo" 400. The 400 relates to the estimated finish weight of 400 kilos. Included is the frame, suspension, bodywork, floorpan, steering rack, Sierra 7" IRS differential ( all of which I bought for around $8k after importing it from South Africa. The frame was custom designed to accept a Suzuki GSX1300RR engine (Hayabusa). These weigh 150lbs--including six speed transmission--and have 180 stock horsepower. There are turbocharged versions of this engine making over 500hp, and they are as reliable as your Honda lawnmower with 250hp. The engine is made to sit transversely with the output shaft facing the back, and then hook up directly with the differential. A large integrated gear and motor setup (included) takes care of reverse. The engine and suspension pieces are included in the package, or may be left off if you're considering a different engine configuration.

I was planning on setting up inboard remote reservoir shock, and have four brand new Suzuki GSXR1000 shocks and four needle bearing Suzuki bell cranks for this purpose.

Fabrication--This car needs fabrication. Suspension and uprights, brakes, engine placement and exhaust are the main elements. There's lots of little fiddling to do, but the amount of fiddling will be determined by the buyer. All in all, this could be an extremely fun street or track-only speeder. The car is located in San Diego.

Please note--I've got PLENTY of pictures of the car, engine, shocks, etceteras. It's unfinished.

For more information on the xO400, check out www.xosportscars.com .

Can you list what parts would be needed for completion?

Can you list what parts would be needed for completion?

What you need depends which way you're going to go with this car--street or track, GSXR or front-engined car. They might include:

--radiator,
--driveshaft coupler,
--seats (I've got Sparco's available to bundle),
--lights (if needed), I've got lights to bundle as well
--floor-mounted brake and throttle assy, including clutch if preferred
--cable shift system. This engine has a sequential shifter which will make it easy to fabricate a shift lever or even a paddle shift at the steering wheel.
--headers
--motor mounts
--a-arms and uprights. I have a-arms now, but they won't work with the shocks I have. The uprights IMO need to be changed.

All of the parts that you may think would be difficult to fabricate could also be purchased from xO Sportscars. They are extremely helpful.

Here are a few more pictures of the frame. The older pictures show a bare frame, but the whole thing has been prepped and painted with etching primer.

The pumpkin seems to be LSD, and shows the included reversing gear. This means when the driveshaft input is rotated, the half shaft mounts rotate in opposite directions.

I like the last picture best. It shows the graceful curvature of the frame, especially around the front wheel area. This frame is overbuilt, and offers quite a bit of protection for the driver and passenger.

Sweetening the deal by offering the kit at half price. I bought this car for a bit over $8k all in, imported from South Africa. This includes the brand new shocks and needle bearing bell cranks (Suzuki rear shock) with the kit for $4,000, or less than half of what I paid. This frame now has etching primer on it, and can be configured for a bike engined build, or has the room for a standard four banger layout. The x0 cars in South Africa use a VW Golf style powerplant, but almost any would fit. The frame is overbuilt. It's far more stout than my Sonic 7, but I simply don't have time to complete it. Too many projects, although this one has LOTS of potential...

Nope, I'm keeping the motor my own self, but the Sierra differential, reversing gear and (used) half shafts are included. Used motorcycles go from $500 to $2500 and are plentiful on Craigslist. All the other stuff listed is above.

The frame could fit in a truck with no problems.

Still for sale, still half price and includes the extra "stuff" I purchased for it. The $4,000 doesn't include the engine. The engine is available separately for $2,800 and includes the car air filter setup.

sorry, just went and read all the org ad. I'm interested, I can do the fab (really have pals that can walk me through it, lol.) It seems like a great project for me. I've got to look into how much I can afford. I don't think I'd buy the busa engine. matt

Hey Matt, I think you need a cooling-off period. :D

Believe it or not, I've got two more renderings from Greg that look even better. Really, really better. However, those are not freebies. :) Gakiem ought to buy and build them, as his sales would pick up 1000%...

Send me a message after you've checked your bank account...

so the uprights and hubs with disc's in the picture are not included? m

The uprights and hubs are included, but I personally am not too fond of them. They were going to be "place-holders" for me until I found a better unit. Mazda Miata uprights are light and are everywhere. Even Mustang II is an option.

Here are pictures of the rear bulkhead and the floor.
