I have car experience. i have restored classic mustang since i was 15 and grew up working at my uncles body shop. would love the feed back on if its good idea to try it. is the market big enough for one more company? thanks

It is long road starting a car company ask Pook. If you have a design that has broad appeal give it a test and see how far you can ride the wave.

Build a "concept" car to see where everyone stands. I see a future in exocars, but I think it will be nothing more than a niche hobby. There's a tough crowd in this forum. Ask cheapracer, Vortex motor works, etc. Ask pook about all of the suggestions he was taking in and trying to mould an exo into something that everyone would like. It's very difficult, but definitely doable.

Good luck. Id like to see your spin on this subject. The more, the better!

To keep it short and to the point I will say NO. When I first started looking into building my own exo, I thought that there were several people building them. After several months of researching I find the same few ( as in 1 or 2 and 1 of them being PooK.) are doing all of the posting. PooK can build anything for anybody, and his prices are fair, and he still had a rough way to go.
I hate to be negative but I think you are about 10yrs to late. I hope I am wrong but I see things getting worse before better.

Rather than being a dedicated ExoCar manufacturer you could take your knowledge from producing tube-chassis and suspension cars and apply it to the off-roading world. There is a very large niche market for tubular 4X4 parts and even complete rigs.

There is also the possibility of producing tubular suspension or chassis components for mass produced cars. I know from experience that the Mitsubishi world is very much lacking in after-market suspension components other than the basics like struts, spring and bushings. Tubular control arms and subframes are basically non-existent unless you have a fab shop make a one-off piece for you.

There is also another massive niche-market in circle track racing. Those cars also utilize tube chassis construction. Producing quality components for a variety of markets and you should definitely be able to "make it" from a business standpoint.
