As from this.... how shall I put it.... rather derogatory thread on Atomclub. Quit apparent that they have no respect for someone's effort.

This one also seem to not be using any curved tubes in it's design.
I wonder how many of "them knowitallaboutbuildingtheirowncarsbutdrivinganAtom" over there actually know how bad it is to use a curved tube in a spaceframe....

Though I have to say, I've met one Real Atom owner so far, And have to admit, He was not at all like I was made to believe that He would be..... He was so Polite, friendly and sinseraly impressed.

As for this guys effort, I give him a full 10, that frame looks the part, and he's got some BOOST! :coolnana:

I like the wind shield and the rather large (for an exocar) gas tank mounted up front. The frequent fill ups on a typical exocar are a pain. (at least it was in our Atom)

I have met many of the posters on the Atom Club Forum at a joint USA/International event in Oklahomah called Atomfest. It was a giant Atom track day. As a whole, Atom owners are good people, unusually polite, generous, jovial, and supportive. A superior attitude on a car forum about cars other than your own doesn't necessarily make someone a bad fellow. It is difficult for most people to be open minded.

And, everyeone is entitled to an opinion, critical or otherwise. Atom owners are spoiled by a largely exceptional product. (that costs an arm and a leg) It is difficult for them to see merit in a product similar to the Atom unless it is an outstanding creation.

With all that said, I too have tremendous respect for the builder of the afore mentioned exocar at start of this thread.

I hear what you say about the fuel tank size... a fully optimized tank, filling that triangle behind the tub 100% is no more than 55l at best. so far I've managed a 71L tank in my efforts on this new frame...

having the tank up front.... well, I can't really say that I like that idea all that much, even if it is a proper cell.

looking at that one bad Atom crash (the orange one) fueltank for a crumple-zone... hmmm....

I can't even imagine how quick that car would be.

It comes into my thinking that its an outstanding product if it's similar in concept and costs less than half the price.

I got respect for anyone who rolls any finished self creation out of their garage - I think we know/can guess how many get started but never finished. It's so easy to critisize from the outside when you've never done it.
