The purpose of this thread is to list all the modifications and best parts to improve a K series motor in three seperate applications, NA - Naturally aspirated, TC - Turbocharged, and SC - Supercharged.
As you guys make suggestions and I find more information I'll add them to the list. Or feel free to copy this post and just add in your contibutions. Many items may be good in all applications.

There is great stuff coming out to enhance a stock engine.. that the average kit builder simply has no clue about. I want to include those options and ideas here.

For example:
Naturally Aspirated K20/K24:

S2000 oil pump modified for the K series to allow higher revving and eliminate oil cavitation up to a given RPM. (more details to follow on this mod)

Intake Manifold:

RBC Intake Manifold from Civic SI

IPS Intake manifold is the rave on K20.org I havent seen numbers on it yet.
Best Throttle body?

Turbocharged K20/K24

Supercharged K20/K24

I've also heard the RBC intake manifold off of the new SI works quite well. You can find these brand new for under $200. Here's a dyno from a stock K20A2 with I/H/E (will be standard on the SL-R) with K-Pro and RBC manifold. 230whp!!!

yeah that IPS intake manifold is a Grip! Its like 1800 or so. Also it makes about 20 more hp then ITB's. ITBS are about the same price give or take.

Hey guys, I'll share some of my insight with the Honda K series engine. I've been building a swapping these engine for about 4-5 years now..

K Series engines love bolt ons.
- Intake
- Headers
- KPRO
- RBC Intake manifold
- Hondata Heat shield gasket

Just with those bolt on's, you should see over 200whp from a K20A2. Around 210 from a K20Z1, or 225-230whp from the K20A Type R.

All motor setups can go even further with cams and valve train.. although I would stay clear of some cam manufactures that seem to have issues with affecting the chain tensioners. Anyway, cams and valve train will boost all motor power even further.. upwards of 230whp in some cases.

I plan on doing a hybrid motor. Using the 2.4l bottom end from a TSX, and using the cylinder head from the RSX Type S. This is the K20/K24. I have built similar setups and have produces 200whp and 190lb trq with stock Type S cams! Swapped out for a set of S2S2 cams and the power jumped to 221whp and 200lb trq.

The only real disadvantage to this would be the reduced redline. I think we revved that engine out to 7000rpm. Please keep in mind this is a completely stock engine. The only thing that was changed was the cylinder head.

Built engines and blocks will raise the all motor power even higher... It's late right now but I will come back and post some good info on this.

If you guys have any questions about anything, I will do my best to help.

Was browsing this forum and came upon this. Thought you k series guys would like to know that in about a month we will be releasing a solution to the weak timing chain tensioner. Check it out: http://www.hybrid-racing.com/?cat=4&p=267
