I think I'm going to go with the Nitto NT01. They are expensive but I think they will last fairly long considering the lightness of the car. I may throw on some cheaper tires if I decide to go on a road trip but I don't know if a road trip would be fun in this car with the lack of luggage space stiff suspension and bugs in the face. What do you guys think?

I will go to the PIR road course a few times a summer. I wont be driving in the rain or long distances on the street.

I used those tires when I had my SR20DET swapped Sentra SE-R (291 whp). They worked phenomenal, as long as I didn't drive in the rain. In the rain they work more like skis than tires. That was my daily driver and I believe they lasted me about 6 or 7 months.

Chadillac how many miles do you think you put on them and how much did your car weigh?

I think the car weighed 2450 if I remember correctly. In the 6 or 7 months I made a couple trips out to Seattle and Denver and it being my daily driver probably 7000 or 8000 miles. I did drive the car pretty hard and that was probably the main reason why the tires did not last very long. The tires are made from a really soft rubber. Another draw back is when the tires are warmed up they seem to pick up all the dirt and rocks up from off the streets. Hopefully the fenders on the SL-R are good at blocking all that stuff from hitting the driver.
