This is another cool feature the Superlite Roadster has. Making the gage installation simple and convenient. See spec sheet Below.pdf

It looks this is all digital. Can the top leds display the engine RPM instead of shift points? I'd swap some of all those numbers for a big analog tachometer.

Check out the PDF file of the Specs on the first post for detailed explanation of the features.:lift: ....
Good Choice Fran.
I went with the Digidash pro because I want to be able to post cool videos, and one day I might want to analyze a track session. The upgrade cost was very attractive.

One thing that looks good with this setup is also the lack of a need to have factory gauges to interface with most Honda ECU outputs. If we had standard gauges the speedos would not work unless they were from the same model as the engine being installed. This uses GPS to get your speed so it doesn't need to interface with the engine ECU for that at all. The oil temp / water temp sensor interface will need to be evaluated.

My thought is the coolant, Oil pressure, oil temp, and fuel level senors can stand alone without the ECU being involved? The GPS capable unit is cool.
If that is true then the Digidash using GPS for speedo and odometer would really only leave the tach and voltmeter to get a signal. The tach can be done with a secondary sensor I am sure. I could skip the voltmeter I guess and just chance that the alternator would not die out on me. All these things will be addressed in little over a month!

so the honda transmisson doesnt need the speed sensor since the cars speed is read off the GPS unit? how would the mileage of the car be read?
also is this GPS unit a live feed?

The upgraded Digi Dash has the GPS, I would have to read the spec sheet to see if the mileage counter works. This GPS unit from my understanding is live.

Yes, the unit has live GPS for speedo & odometer. Although I'm not sure of what the update interval us. I think I heard 1 sec not sure.
You can still use speed signal input if you want and that's what we are doing initially. But not on Honda, on Mitsu 4G63.
FYI - Digi-Dash GPS update rates -
The DD2-Lite GPS has a 1 second update and the DD2-Pro+ has a .2 second update.

The upgrade cost for the Digidash pro is a bargain. Definitely worth the extra cost IMHO.

whats the differents in cost?
I think the upgrade costs around $750. That is about the same difference on the mfr. web site.

In speaking with Fran yesterday the dash options for the SL-R do not use GPS. They need a speed sensor input form the engine / transaxle or ECU. It is a different series of dash units that use the GPS. I looked at the unit at the shop and it is nice and simple, but smaller than I had guessed based on the images seen on the mfr. website.

Thanks BT for the info.
We were always going to use a speed sensor input here as it will be 100% accurate and behave as a normal car speedo would.

Guys,
the GPS is available for the Lite package in 1 HZ or 5hz update speed...but its also $360.....

Thanks for the clarification Fran. Not that it makes much difference to us. Although we could use the GPS, to check speed sensor accuracy.
I don't really care whether the speedo is GPS or speed sensor fed, the kit comes with a speed sensor, so that is what I'll be using.
