Thinking cheap (outside the box)

OK here's my thoughts on cost.. instead of making an Atom or V-storm, since Ohio requires a windshield I am gonna go with this http://www.berrienbuggy.com/id35.htm
and then modify it a bit. I think with street parts as opposed to sand rail high usage shocks,tires,ect ect this may be the right answer I am looking for

On the Cheap, I think you are on it. I would say the Dune Buggy was the first Exo car, which was based on VW parts. You would be getting a "similar looking" car. You would not have the handling characteristics, but it is start for the budget minded. :)
