Rolling Chassis Weight etc?
Fran had said that the prototype was 1150 as is in the pictures, and to add about 60-80 pounds for the body panels. I figure maybe another 30 for the exhaust, so 1250-1400 would be the complete car depending on the engine chosen. Since the engine / trans should be around 500 or so, the rolling chassis (bare) might be around 650 (including wheels / tires). Superlight it is indeed!:coolnana:

How does this compare with the atom? I've read conflicting reports of 1005lbs and 1350lbs. I hate to keep making comparisons to tha Atom but it's the closest design for which there is performance data IMHO.

I believe I've also heard that the atom weighs 1350 lbs. From the pictures though, it seems that the SL-R should weigh less than the atom.

In 2-3 month will see what shakes out. There seems to be lots of options and choices.

The weight "word" is a fully dressed Superlite Roadster will be on average 1300 lbs Give or take depending on your engine choice and otpions. :smile str:
