One of my engine suppliers has the New Ecotec engine and trans turn key for $7500. at 170 hp.
I am wondering if it is enough for the average person?
Bolus maybe you can speak to the topic?

It would be more than what most people could ever have the ability to master...
I'm sure, most people won't be sharing my opinion on this one.. :)

I would be happy with 95 but 300 sounds like more fun =)

I just want enough power so that I can tell people that I can get from 0 to 60 in less than three seconds! :D

Wow thats a lot of money for a 170hp engine, you can buy a car with an engine that produces more than that. (Integra gsr)
Yes, a true 170 hp in a 1200 pound car is plenty of power for most people. I have a 1400 pound car with an advertised 155 hp (that would dyno at around 95), and it is fine in the mountains, although you won't win many drag races with it. These are sports cars first, so the handling and weight are more critical than the power in my mind.

It does sound like alot compared to a used setup. Keep in mind this is all new, warranted and dynod. Maybe that is worth it to some. We shall see.:)
