No. Not yet.

But its a very simple process.
Get cheap/used ECU from recommended model and year car.
Send ECU to Hondata. (or local Hondata dealer)
Pay Hondata. (or local Hondata dealer)
Install ECU in SL-R with basemap.
Take SL-R to tuner for dyno tuning.
Leave with race ready SL-R.

Hondata has made the Honda engine swap / ECU easy. I am wondering with other engine packages if it will be this easy?

We will be getting more ECU info on the SRT-4 soon.

I for one will never support people that does this to people that like to do thing for themselves, not to mention for others......

http://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/index.php?topic=86818.100

long story short... they sued him because someone had posted some kind of log reader or something on his forum, and he did not remove it "fast enough" according to Hondata.....
and from this, I WILL never ever deal with HONDATA, not even if they are the last ecu fabricator left on the planet...

Well, I'm not going to defend Hondata.

But... The whole world is jacked up. Honor and fairness are for the most part imaginary. Greed motivates most every enterprise that exists.

With that said, Walmart, Fedex, and countless other well known businesses have smashed and financially or legally raped numerous individuals and small businesses.

I praise your efforts not to support a company that did something dishonorable. However, if that is your stand.. you will have a hard time finding a company or service that has not mistreated someone on the basis of greed or simply because the legal system allowed them to do so.

I wont even get into the mis-steps of the nearly all the major automotive manufacturers. Who made the engine you are buying?

I may sound fatalistic or pessimistic, but really the opposite is true if you asked.

My only point is this... What business hasn't stomped on someone?
Until they stomp on you, use their services. The best products on the market will usually be produced by people whose morals you know nothing about and whose actions you'll never get the full story on. How far or how seriously should we disassociate ourselves from a product whose designers we disagree with. Did the product hurt you? Did the product sue someone for all they were worth who didn't deserve it, or did a corporate owner of a company do so?

However, all of this is just an opinion, not intended to start a debate or attack any one elses feelings.

very true indeed, and that is the beauty of the power of the internet... and if knowledge about these things can be shared so easily... who knows, honesty might still prevail for a bit...even if it is a kind of forced honesty...

it is not easy indeed, but believe it or not, there are co's out there that are still honorable, they are few, far in between, and usually on the other side of the planet...

anywhy... back to the ECU talk.... :)

what about using aftermarket ECU's as std.... I, for instance use the Gotech Pro-X at R5200.... which is like $650US... it can do everything, even make you coffee while you drive... :)

I'm kidding.. :)

But seriously... it's got stuff in like
Anti-lag,
launch control,
True electronic boost control (the kind you can map to an input such as TPS....),
it has a grid resolution of 24X32.
Can do full sequential injection,
wasted spark,
coil on plug,
Rotary,
60-2, 30-1,
VVT \ VTEC,
rev range up to 13krpm I think...

And also the AEM E.M.S. It has been used in many race cars with various engine platforms. It can do nearly anything. Stand alone engine management systems are out there.

I owned an AEM E.M.S. on a project car of yesteryear. In my opinion it is harder to find a local tuner and usually more expensive to have the tuning done, but... they work well for many. However that Gotech unit sounds very reasonably priced.

I have talked with Shaun at GoTech to see if he can help with our engine packages.
