4 x 108 lightweight wheels, what choice are there under 15 lbs for 15 x 7"?

I sent an email to Stuart also, but 5 x 4.25" or 4.5" lug pattern can get us so much more choices especially because of all the Mustang wheels in the aftermarket. Stuart said he can put LHD Mustang steering rack and suspension for easier brake / wheel selection in the U.S. market.

FYI, I'll be going with Sumitomo HTR Z's (245/50ZR16 & 315/35ZR17) at 14 psi since I'm amazed by the traction of these tires on my '08 Mustang (275/40ZR18) and the Atom's recommended psi of 14 (front) /16 (rear) heated up these summer tires (faster-wearing, though) well while providing a more comfortable ride. I tried 44 psi for fuel economy, and while getting 30 mpg, the ride was PUNISHING! : )

I wonder if Stuart is talking about the Wilwood Mustang Spindles. I will get clarification.

I like this option. Clearly it's easily done on the front of the car, but what happens with the Focus hub at the back? Is there an easy Wilwood conversion, something off-the-shelf from Wilwood, other?

So what rim size get run with Sumitomo HTR Z's (245/50ZR16 & 315/35ZR17)?

For 245/50ZR16, the rim width range is 7"-8.5",

while 315/35ZR17's get rim width range of 10"-12".

For my car, I'll be using 16x7 wheels up front and 17x10 wheels in rear for obvious weight savings. : )

Talked to Stuart and the front hub can be blank or 4 x 108 (ford). Working on the rears driven hubs.

Let's face facts--it's doubtful that anyone who is building a 1,000lb car is going to put the heavy OEM Focus wheels on it--even SVT. A much more supported bolt pattern would be 4x100, which covers Miata and many Hondas. Other than that, it's only important that backspacing is considered in relation to whatever brake/rotor setup is chosen. I'm ordering mine without a bolt pattern, and hoping we can figure something out with the rear hub setup.

I talked with Timken who make this setup below to see if they can supply them blank, said no.

He is another thought, what if you drill new additional holes in the vacant space between. Keep in mind these OEM hubs are made for 3000lb car.

That's done all the time and is actually pretty easy. If only Timken supplied a hub with multiple mount holes.

Here is the solution for those that want 4 x 100 , Adapter are used on the rear anyway, just swap out to these.

2 x 20mm PCD adapters from 4x108 (65,1) to 4x100 (60,2)
