View Full Version : Insurance Savings
I know I sound like a commercial, but we just saved $1537 a year on auto and home insurance by switching to G*ico.
I'm the type that never would have called. My wife on the other hand is faxing quotes back and forth and pitting the companines against each other.
Allst*te wouln't match the other company or we would have stayed.
The funniest thing was the "on hold" message playing on the phone with Allst*te, saying they save the average customer 500 dollars over G*ico.
Happy day.

We had Geico for a while. That was until after our first accident. A truck ran over a pipe and sent it right into our windshield. Geico wasn't going to pay for anything. Even though in our policy it says that they replace the windshield for free (no deductible). I was furious.
Finally, after 5-6 phone calls they said they would replace it, but I'd have to have someone inspect it at 1 in the afternoon on this certain day. I told them I couldn't because I was in school. They said, "too bad." After a couple more phone calls and some yelling I finally got them to refund me after I payed for everything.
The next day, we switched to All State.
How many cars??? I just got my renewal notice for our 4 car policy with Allstate. A specialist company does the ginetta on a seperate policy. We are currently paying about $6k per year for the 4 car policy with no tickets or claims in the past 5 years.
Maybe I'll give Geico a call.

Wow!!! I took the Ferrari off the Allstate policy and switched it to www.Heacockclassic.com (the same policy I have on the Ginetta), then took the other three and put them on Geico. My total yearly savings is a staggering $2942.22!!!! Winner!!!!
Thanks man, you made my day!!!
How can there be such disparity for a client with no accident or claim history???

Wow. Both of you save a lot by switching to Geico. I don't remember my premiums going up much, if at all when I switched to Allstate. I had that one bad experience with Geico, but if I were able to save $1500+, I'd be tempted to switch back.
