290HP @ 5,200 RPM
MT 315 lb,-ft of torque @ 4,800
That is amazing specs for a warranted oem engine. Compared to any other turbo 4 cyl engine for the price and what you get that is amazing. :thumb2:
I'm a Honda fan and I can say without reservation that the Ecotec is an amazing engine.

Why can't they do a some more things right? It is a terrible irony to me that a company putting out one of the most promising 4 cylinder motors on the planet is tottering on the brink of collapse.
Quote from article: "That’s not the best part of new kit however, as the pièce de résistance for the new LNF Turbo Upgrade Kit is what tuners of the Solstice and Sky have been waiting for since day one. GM has gone ahead and unlocked the learn feature for the LNF that keeps power at factory levels even after aftermarket modifications have been made."

This kit includes the “No Lift Shift” feature for faster accelerations with manual transmissions.
How I understand that, you hammer the gas pedal and no need to let up when shifting. That sounds it would be hard to do with the brain telling you to let up. :nono:

So what is this thing that is not on the LSJ? You'd have to pull that and the AC pump up front to get it in the Atom

Power steering maybe? No problem getting rid of that.
It does look like a really fat engine though. I'm guessing you'd have to pull it farther back than the K20 sits.

The engine is out of the Cobalt SS. During the first couple of years of the cars production, the ecotec 2.0 engine was supercharged putting out around 200 hp. Since 2007 or 2008 I believe, the ecotec 2.0 engine is now turbocharged putting out around 260 hp. From what I can tell, the turbocharged version of the engine seems to be much better.
