We spent the day at Wakefield Park Raceway just getting the basics sorted as it was the first time the vehicle had been driven.

The potential of the vehicle is obvious, can't wait to get more track time.

Will have power figures next week. It's just an old(19 year) engine that has the simple and cheap bolt on upgrades. We already have preliminary dyno figures and it's certainly going to be impressive especially for the money spent.

Enjoy.

Have you had a chance to weigh it?

Sorry no weight measurements yet. The track didn't have the equipment. At the start of April we should be at our first competition and at a track that has scales.

This will be the relative heavy weight of SL-R's though, due to it's configuration and fit out. But it's the way the owner wants it.

And I certainly respect the approach.

I knew it needed some wings :)

Looks great.

Also looks like you need some higher rate springs and maybe a little lowering (given the body roll.

Why did the owner choose to run Michelin slicks in the front and Hoosier R compounds in the rear?

Can't wait to see the weight and some relative lap times.

BTW how tall is the driver, I noticed his head actually sticks up past the rollbar?

AMAZING! Thanks for the pics Craig.

That rear wing looks awesome! If you're supplying those for the US market, count me in. Although, that rear bar the wing is attached to looks different than mine. It looks straight, while mine has a slight bend in it. Although, I don't think it would be hard bending the mounts a little bit.

I'm assuming the reason why the driver's head is above the roll-bar is because of those seats. They probably are sitting him up much higher than the stock seats. I'm 6', I haven't measured, but I'm 95% positive my head sits atleast a few inches below the roll-bar.

Hey! I just realized that you're using the same rear LED lights as I am! (They're tiny). And mounted them in the same place.

I am very happy to see how the SL-R looks on a track. Thank you.

Great photos! I would bet the seat is higher than the typical installation also. As far as spring rates I like the slight lean. To me it looks pretty optimal! Wow, what a great looking car.
Chad, how long until we see your car in some action shots?
We're dying to see it!
:)

The engine will turn over, but no fuel yet. I'm also taking off work early today so I can finish the brakes with someone's help.

There's also someone in town that's doing the exhaust for me. We're probably going to order a pre-made header and then he'll finish the rest.

I'm finally out of winter hybernation mode, and it's really coming together lately. I'm hoping to have it driveable in the next couple of weeks.

Bit hard to tell now that that picture has been removed.

I've seen Atom's doing similar things on such corners.

Are you positive about that?

OK, I took a look at a picture of my track car and must retract my comment about the body roll.

This is a picture of my car on the soft suspension, but the body roll never felt excessive from inside the car. Given this, the SLR should feel as if it is cornering very flat.

I've attached a photo of another car on the same track and the same corner.

It was at a National race meet a few years ago and this car did the fastest lap time of the meet.

You can eliminate all the body roll if you like but the car would produce slower lap times.

I removed the photo because I was requested to. I didn't ask why, I don't own the vehicle, so feel pretty privileged to be able to post photos of it here iin the first place.

We are thinking about experimenting with stiffer springs in the rear and softer springs in the front.

If you look at the Cobra, it has more of an issue with "dive" than "roll".

I would think a high rear RC and a very low front RC.

Your Supra actually looks quite competent in that pic.
