On Board Video Camera System

Am looking to invest in a small lightweight reasonably inexpensive Video recording system for the car and would welcome any advise from other enthusiast's that have experience in this area.

Currently thinking along the lines of a bullet camera, flash drive recording unit with helmet mike ????????

I have a chasecam which is quite good. it has just the proper amount of POV to capture a lot of area.

Here are some examples. These are compressed way down by youtube but they look a lot better on the computer.

It might be a little more expensive than you are going for though
