I'm going to be a little more stealthy about the intercooler mount, but judging from that guy's smile the car is fast. I hope mine produces a similar effect. :coolnana:

Orange on black and orange on silver looked very good. :D
Not to burst a bubble but that Rocket is fitted with a 2004 version of Ford’s C-Max 2.0 litre 136 PS Durartorq TDCi Diesel engine mated to 6-Speed manual gearbox. The engine details are as follows: 4 cylinders inline, 16 valves, alloy cylinder head and block, direct injection with high-pressure, common-rail, multipoint fuel injection system, variable geometry turbocharger with intercooler and transient torque overboost function; electronic throttle and dual-mass flywheel. It took 'Will' who is only 20, 6 weeks on the kitchen table to work out the electronics based on a ford electronic manual he purchased on the INTERNET for £2.50 from Finland. :run:
'Will' is currently studying Green Engineering at University. Its a very interesting build and sounds very much like a jet engine when running. :coolnana:

That chrome powder coat really did look good but you've got to get the chassis spotlessly clean first and it shows up every blemish. :thumb2:

Nigel,
Thanks for the update on the diesel. A very interesting read. That gives the term "soot rocket" a whole different meaning!!!

That is still sweet. A 250 ftlb diesel is probably just as fun as a 250 hp gasoline motor. I bet his fuel millage is off the charts.

i could only imagine what fuel mileage would be but thats the least of my worries...i plan to build a rocket to drive it like a rocket haha
