The original Audi has been set aside in favor of the LS2. The Audi did not sell well. I do not know the specs of the Audi.

The engine in the Type F was actually a 1.8T VW engine (Close cousin to the Audi 1.8T). The engine was tuned by Cosworth and generated @ 250HP. We chose the GM LS2 option for several reasons:
1) cost/reliability
2) performance
3) availability
4) serviceability
The VW/Audi engine availability was limited and we could not find a reliable partner to work with here in the US. While that engine did perform well we feel that it is still hard to beat US V8 grunt!
Power went up again a while later to 300bhp it's PHENOMINAL !!!!!!
Lucky me got to drive it recently
