Hot Rod Magazine September '09, page 32. Check it out.
Two (yes two) 450hp Chevy V8s in an exocar. The builder says it is not finished, will be getting an aluminum body. I wish I could find a picture for you guys. It's pretty wild, but I think he would have been better off with one engine.

This is the only picture I can find online:

(above) Yannick Sire (right) shows-off his custom built V-16 hot rod made from two V-8 Chevy engines during the inaugural 'Venice Beach Rides for the Community' on Rose Avenue on Saturday, July 18. 2009.

The car has a windshield and sheet metal roof. I think he said the roof was made from two VW Karmann Ghias. The whole thing flips forward for entry/exit, and the dash goes with it as seen in the picture.

I found a few more pictures, but rather than steal them I'll just link to the other site.

Okay, I know I'm ignorant, but is that a radiator, an intercooler, or what, directly under the exhaust manifold? There are better pictures on Exonut's link.

According to the HotRod article it is one of three radiators, and when the car is finished the radiators will be ducted and insulated from the exhaust. It may not be an ideal setup, but compromises must be made if you want two engines I suppose.

More power to him. I love unusual projects but that radiator location is crazy. There will need to be some fantastic insulation. Those headers will cook bacon from 12 inches. feet.

There's hardly a car out there that doesn't compromise some performance for looks, but I wonder why he didn't just put the radiators in the rear. I suspect the car is built more for show and to show off his fabrication skills. Ever go to a street rod show? I love em, but you see some of the worst engineering (and best too) on street rods, just to obtain a certain look.

If you look at the first pic I posted, the headers appear to have been Jet-Hot coated. I don't know if you're familiar with the stuff, but it does an amazing job of keeping the heat inside the pipes. I've built cars with Jet-Hot coating from headers to tips, you could literally put your hand an inch away from the headers and just feel warm, but the gasses coming out the tail pipe will burn you.

Yes, Jet-Hot and similar products do work. I may coat my own exhaust system.

Yes i could've built it with a dry sump sbc and made it 3 feet shorter, that would've been alot easier and fun for me.. but i had to buid something different and cool for the hot rod industry that i"m in for some work stimulation and cuz i could! BTW the rear engine runs 170 deg. even without shielding..the front runs 180 deg. It was built with all the drives on the rear engine so the front one can be removed, bolt on another set of headers and its good to go!
