Wow Craig a Cobra AND a GT40!!! I'm jealous. Is the GT40 a RCR? And what about the Cobra?

Craig – Absolute PACE

No mate, no RCR's for myself yet, I've had both the Cobra and GT40 for a while. The Cobra is an RMC, made locally here in Aus. Nice classic looking one, blue with white stripes of course.

Lets just say that a few cars will be up for sale as I upgrade my garage to a few RCRs. One RCR is just not enough.

I'm a pretty selfish person, the only reason I became involved with RCR was to get a few for my own garage. :coolnana: Just don't tell Fran. :D

Centurian, didn't you get the news? Theres a recession on!!

Like your red frame on the Atom by the way but put twin equal roll hoops on instead of the silly twin ones you got now.

Meh, move on and enjoy what you got now.

The reality is that 3 cars I have owned, a '74 Toyota Corolla, an Alfetta and a Nissan Skyline wagon amongst all the others over the years were memorable because they weren't memorable - boringly walk out every day turn the key and drive away for years without any dramas.

"Character" is a often spelt u n r e l i a b l e.

1967 Ford Consul bread delivery van 1.5l (I think)
1976 Ford Cortina 2l
1974 Lancia Beta Berlina 1.8l
1974 Ford Cortina 2l auto
1984 Honda CB250Rs
1982 Yamaha XJ750
1970 Hillman Hunter Safari (station wagon) 1.7l
1970 Alfa Romeo 1750 Berlina with 1969 engine 1.8l
1986 Nissan Pintara 2l
2000 Daihatsu Taruna 1.6l

Cheapracer is exactly right. The memorable ones tend to be the ones which had a lot of breakdowns - like my Alfa: dodgy electrics, chewed up a gearbox, double webers with bent spindles so they were impossible to tune right (and it took ages to find they were bent!); I loved that car :) It was great to drive and sounded incredible.

The best car was probably the Hunter - it just kept rattling and creaking its way where-ever I asked it to go - the Lancia (which I wrote off, boo hoo), or the bikes.

I'm not gonna do pics...but here we go!

1. 88 Dodge Omni. not it wasnt a glh, yes it was awesome.
2. 93 bronco Fullsize. I hateed this car
3. 84 VW rabbit convertible. I loved this one, despite its woes.
4. 2001 golf TDI. Still have it, still love it despite its faults
5. 87 vw cabriolet. Had alot of fun with this car, gave it to a friend, that friend gave it to a friend....cars usually only survive one gifting so that is good. still runs like a top. Kinda like a turbo rotary though...60% of the time it works every time.
6. 94 MIATA. Its got a supercharger. its fast. its fun.
7. 2002 ford focus, this car frightened me it was so fast. Damn good little car too bad i had to cut it up :D
8. 2009 MEV rocket. in progress. May scare me as well, but I'll just have to adjust. :coolnana:
