Hi all got the car weighed today, wasnt a bad estimate weight 740kgs

weight distribution 40/60 front 40 rear 60.

and 50/50 left to right

these are some composite perfermance figures generated fromhttp://www.letstorquebhp.com/calculator.asp

This is what it comes up with:For an explanation of how these figures are derived click here

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 285
Weight without Driver (KG) : 740
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 391.32
0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.53
0 - 100 (Secs) : 8.70
60 - 100 (Secs) : 5.17
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.85
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 116.70
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.75
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 118.09

I have tested the calculator using a known weight and horsepower for a given production car and found it to only be 1 to 2 tenths different so it seems to be pretty accurate. It gets more interesting as you increse the BHP it demonstrates what can be acheived with a mildly tuned Subaru with 350bhp

For an explanation of how these figures are derived click here
Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 350
Weight without Driver (KG) : 740
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 480.57
0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.28
0 - 100 (Secs) : 7.81
60 - 100 (Secs) : 4.53
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.53
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 121.52
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.43
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 122.96

Now lets get silly !

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 475
Weight without Driver (KG) : 740
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 652.20
0 - 60 (Secs) : 2.89
0 - 100 (Secs) : 6.48
60 - 100 (Secs) : 3.59
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.01
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 130.35
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 10.91
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 131.88

As you can see masses more horsepower dosnt shave that much off some of the times I think I am going to stick with the 285bhp Sti maybe on the next one I might go to 350bhp but I think any more than that is a waste of money for the amount of gain. Next job going to get the car on the dyno and see what the engine is producing as I was told it was running 300-310bhp we shall see.:D
