I wanted to stop lurking and get to know this place.

My name is Steve and I am a car addict, both theoretically and functionally.

I have a hard time leaving my cars stock. My current car is a 2005 Pontiac GTO. Twin turbo. 650 WHP on Cali pump @ 10 psi<---- yes this is doable and yes its runs very rich :)

I do almost ALL my own labor and I even did the tuning on the GTO.

GTO mods:
All of the suspension replaced (GM did a number on this car when they imported it from AU) - Springs, shocks, bushings, sway bars, rear diff mount.
APS twin turbo kit - Coated and rebalanced turbos prior to install.
Ported heads truck heads- bigger valves. the truck heads lower compression by a whole point, to 10:1 IIRC. Very common for use on the LS motors.
Custom fuel solution - full return system
CCW wheels
tossed the crappy GM spoiler in favor of a nice lip spoiler only sold in AU
AU tail lights - very audi-ish
BLAH BLAH BLAH
oh i did wire in a nice gear based boost controller. It helps A LOT. I only run/need 5.5 psi in 1st. I then ramp up each gear until 4th (10 psi)

Anyways, it runs great (about 10,000 miles at that power level) it was my DD for a while, but not any more. It is an amazingly smooth and reliable 650WHP cruising car. I started tracking it. Was easily hitting 125 on the straight @ Streets of Willow Springs. Then comes the corners.

As much work as i did, it is still a heavy beast. To make it more trackable would take away from my original goal of the car (FAST + SMOOTH)

Which brings me here :)

I want an SL-R

I should (crosses fingers) be in a nice financial place in about a year.

I want an SL-R with the Hartley H1 with a turbo! I want to make 700+ @ the wheels, and yes, I want it ridiculous.

Things I will modify to fit because I build for me, not shows or sanctioning bodies.

Wheels. Carbon Fiber (yes they are coming to market) I. WANT. 345. TIRE. IN. REAR. I do realize new flares and all that.

Brakes. Carbon ceramics because I want LIGHT.

I will be adding a small modest audio system. Head unit and 2 three-way 6x9's (Hartley H1, which is 200 lbs, gives me some extra lbs to add in a few things I want without killing the total weight.)

I also do not like the gauge cluster RCR is using, i will use a different one

I like the pic on the superlite page that has the wing. I want, only i want it to be a speed adjustable one. Motec ECU has control options. I will conjure up a design for one. bonus point for the braking mode :)

I know this seems like a lot, because it is. I know it sounds expensive, because it will be. I am guessing $130k+ finished.

Some says pipe dreams, I say goal...

I am anxious awaiting the pics of the Razor BTW.

LOL WOW....Sorry about all that. Havent had much sleep lately, and caffeine makes me have diarrhea of the fingers.

I have a 2 year old and a 2 week old here at home, so I am just catching up on sleep.

Welcome Steve! I've always liked the new Goats, especially with BIG power. I guess you've got a collector's item on your hands now. :)

I'm looking forward to following your build. Whatever your final HP, the SLR can take it.
