After watching the action on Friday and Saturday, the SLC is doing extremely well... when its running. The car has been plagued with electrical gremlins and then the towing crews decided to rip off the front clip. The team has ultimately decided that this run will be more for setting up and prepping the car than anything. They just want to get it ready for the next race. And what better oppurtunity than a 25 hour long track day???
The chassis has been performing phenomanal. The engine isnt putting down all of its 800 or so horsepower, the trans still has some electrical issues (not revving the engine before downshifts), and the electrical issues have been just eating away at the team.
Performance wise, the car was lapping the GTM every 30-35 minutes WHEN it was on the track. And it passed the fasted car of the day there; a Ford GT-LM. The Radicals are out there really moving too. BUT, like all Radicals, theyre not that reliable at all. The team ultimately wants to try and get the FTD. Hopefully, they can.
Im heading back out to watch the closing three hours of the race.
