Hi! I am new here and i find light cars absolutely fascinating . I have an idea to build a car from the ground up using corvette c6 suspension c5 zo6 engine boxster 6 speed manual transaxle steel space frame with aluminum paneling and one off light body. It would be a roadster with no doors and no roof. minimum weight is the goal without compromising safety. I intend to use square tubing for easier fabrication. Any ideas or suggestions on tubing sizes and aluminum sheet thickness for min weight but reasonable safety will be greatly appreciated. the 3d chassis is close but 30% incomplete. dimensions of the body are just like lamborghini diablo just a bit wider. The car on the video is my first attempt.... a long project and a learning process based on pontiac fiero. Thank you for your help.
