The EL-R is a new frame design, but they are both open top sports cars with exposed frames.

Exposed frames are good, and both of them are quite similar in design, which one you prefer.

They have some similarities, but the Wrightspeed car looks to showcase electronics and hybrid technology in an exposed frame roadster package while the EL-R is a more basic rechargable electric car design. The EL-R would probably be easier to maintain and repair, but the Wrightspeed car looks more advanced.
