I leave you with this picture..... :D
1308cc of rotational goodness, hookedup to a 5spd close ratio sequential Crashbox.... and some people will get mighty pissed at ya for showing up...
Hi everyone.... :)

Is this the engine your are planning to install or is it already in?

it's the plan to eventually go Rotary, yes. Right now I'm using Nissan SR20DET engines, but good gearbox combinations are view, and far in between, for these engines.... Besides, nothing as pure and awesome, as the sound of a rotary going through 9kRPM.

Do have any pictures of your Nissan engine install and details? Also would you recommend this engine?

Well, I'm kind of the wrong person to ask for recommendations on Piston engines, I'm A Rotary freak, so my answer would be no, I would not recommend the SR20 engine. In all fairness though, the engine is very nice, and very strong and it's one of the only 2l factory turbocharged engines out there, but the lack of transmission options for this engine is the real problem... I would much rather recommend Toyota's 4AGZE engines, or even the Mazda's FE3-DOHC engines. these are extremely reliable, and very very strong engines, capable of pushing 300HP+ on stock internals.
here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/3rotor/) is some pictures of my builds.
This particular car is running the SR20DET engine, with 550CC injectors, a GT2876R turbo and a ProX ECU.

#Roter car, I think is hand built? I like the windshield, how it is curved at the top. #Roter what type of windshield is that?

It is a Neo1 windshield. I.E. it's a windshield made to our spec, for our car.
Obviously, with a homologated windshield and wipers, our car is truly road-legal, unlike the [that other track car], which is not really regal at all on the road....
Yes, it is LSC Inspired, obviously. The frame is designed in AutoCAD. Everything is then Laser-cut, and I then Tig it all together. I specifically made effort to insure, everything on my car, is different to that on the [that other track car]. We run Turbocharged 2000cc SR20DET engines and will eventually be running Mazda Renesis engines, when the time comes...

Nice work. Are you planning to sell Kits? "LSC Inspired" What does this mean?

We are only going to be producing complete cars. Homologation of the car is extremely expensive, and for safety reasons, as well as protecting our own image, we can not afford to sell them as kits.
LSC or Lightweight Sports Car, the creation of Niki Smart, Rob Egan and Dale Grewer....
or at least so I have been reading on the net somewhere.

Hey guys i am thinking the little rotor i built about 10 years ago still in the shed would be the gun power plant. its a 13b single rotor 650cc i had it supercharged running on methanol
but had heap of problems breaking blowers and belts now i have have found the light (ie) turbochargers it should see the light of day again. it revs to 15k and should produce 300 hp.
just the think for a slr i thinks. Though i think it would need a close ratio box to keep it on the boil .
just food for thought.

I will drag it out of hiding and take some pics of it .
i needs its annual oil up and turn over . Only a couple of these have ever been built in Australia mine was the only one to be used in competition i have a selection of turbos to go on it so finding the right one will not be a problem what i need is a second hand engine dyno so i can set it up and get it running again.

Will this engine be naturally aspirated ? Will it be ported also ? I've seen some very informative vids on porting these things .

Rotory engines nice ideas, yes but too finicky good luck on getting it dialed in and making it reliable. Me personally I would have gone with an f20c honda engine

with Today's metallurgic advancements in Apex seal design and choice of manufactured materials available, The rotary engine is way more reliable than anything else, in it's Kw range...
If you keep 3 things in check, Revs, temperature and Detonation, the engine will outlast any other...

The best thing about the rotary is its power to weight the latest versions are all alloy housings and end plates which will make a very light and powerful engine. i was thinking of using a constant velocity style trans with the smoothness of a rotary and the trans i would be awesome.:thumb2:
