Well I found someone that would let me borrow their cherry picker to help me install my engine. However there a few things holding me back before I can install the engine.
The first problem is I'm still missing a mount and a bracket. I'm hoping that Fran still has them at his shop and will be calling Monday to try and get them shipped here. I went to the Honda dealership and they quoted me almost $200 for the bracket and mount that I'm missing. (I thought the RSX type-S and the JDM type-R would have the same mounts, but the diagram that the guy printed off for me look a tiny bit different then the mounts that I have).
The second problem is I'm a little confused on how the passenger's side mount and the driver's side mount are suppose to attach to the frame.
Here is a description of the following pictures:
1) All of the mounts and brackets that I do have. (I believe I have all of the bolts and nuts that go with these).
2) Driver's side mount attached to the engine.
3) Driver's side mount near the area where it's suppose to attach to the frame. See a problem here? Is there suppose to be some custom bracket that attaches this to the frame? There are three holes in the frame but I'm not sure what's suppose to go there.
4) Passenger's side bracket next to the frame where the mount is suppose to attach to the frame. There are two holes there and I'm not sure how this is suppose to work out either as I don't have the passenger's side mount.
5) Rear engine mount where it's suppose to attach to the frame. There is some metal thing that goes through the mount where the bolt is suppose to go. I'm just going to have to figure out how to rip that thing out so I can get the bolt through there.
6) Here is the front mount fitting perfectly into the frame.
I'll be calling RCR on Monday to see if Jason can find my missing mount and bracket and see if I'm missing some other kind of brackets to install the passenger and driver's side mounts. I was just hoping that some of you that have seen the engines mounted in the chassis have any more insight on how to install this. Thanks.

Chad I just was talking to Karlo and he said there are some pictures on the SL-R gallery showing the motor mounts as installed. I also have pictures (maybe the same) that show them. If you look at these and still have questions let me hear.
My first thoughts:
1 There are no motor mount parts from your engine at RCR
2 You are missing the left side aluminum block that's supplied by RCR
3 Your transmission mount is different from the '06 SI mount I saw
4 Your rear mount may be different in that it has a piece through it where the bolt goes through. Can you remove it or cut off its ends and drill through it for a bolt?
5 your front mount looks okay
Apparently there are some differences between various K series motors as far as the mounting goes. Anyone here have a comprehensive list of differences between the various k series motors? Was this motor ever in the frame at the shop?

Well... I found the pictures that Fran sent me a while ago when he was fitting my engine in the SL-R. From what I can tell he didn't even use my mounts and used the mounts from some other engine. You can see my rear engine mount on the side of the first picture and another one with the bolt through it on the car. The transmission mount doesn't look like mine at all and must be from another engine. It looks like a may have to find the mounts from a completley different motor...
Also I do have this aluminum piece that looks like the one off of BT's car. The piece was not in the box with all of the other mounts so I wasn't sure what it was before. The holes on it don't match up with any of the holes on the mounts or the frame. Also, compared with the rest of the car this piece looks almost like scrap metal. The hole car seems so professionally done and then there's this piece that looks like...well, I'll just say not very professional.
Looking more at the rear mount, I can't figure out how to get that metal piece out that goes through the mount. I guess I can grind off the two ends and then drill a hole through the center...

Hey, I'm glad to see that your engine was installed. That means that there are mounts that work. They are surely the ones listed in Fran's list. I called every salvage lot in the Austin book looking for some used mounts from an 06 Civic SI.
I figured that they wouldn't be too atrophied at only two years old and I would save some money. What I found is that them Austin junk yards ain't got no class! Chad, did you find the mount pictures in the SL-R gallery? I can send them to you if you didn't. I know my dial up clutchs at that much download. You've probably got some broad band connection.

Yes, I've seen the mounts in the SL-R gallery. But how do you know that they are from an '06 Civic SI? What list are you talking about from Fran?

I think I know it is an 06 civic SI because that's what Bill said his engine was and that's what the pictures were taked of at RCR during our "Grand Drawing" trip.
The list is what Fran emailed to me. Here it is:
Guys,

Thanks Aloysius. Now the fun task of finding some used ones begins...
I am fascinated and jealous by your great build Chadillac. Thanks for the pictures and descriptions of challenges. My engine sits in the garage...
See if a salvage yard on www.car-part.com might be able to help you.
Will the parts shown here work?

Gage - Thanks for the compliments. I'm just thankful for all the people on the forum that are willing to answer all of my questions, even when they are a little dumb.
BT - I'm not sure if those mounts from honda-tech would work. It seems that those mounts are if you're doing an engine swap. The K-series into the 02+ RSX/Civic mounts are probably different than the 06 Civic SI stock mounts.

I found a used 07 Civic SI that's being parted out. He is going to sell me everything I need but I just can't figure out what those last three parts are on Fran's list:
1083740
1075598
1075599
Anybody know?

Added to this list you'll also need part number:

Don't ask me how I know. And I still don't know what those last three part numbers are for.
I tried to identify what each one of those parts are with six different online part search engines.. with no success. Wonder what I'm doing wrong?

This website has them:
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/catdisplay.jsp?inputstate=4&catcgry1=CIVIC&catcgry2=2006&catcgry3=2DR%20SI&catcgry4=KA6MT
I don't think it works if you just type in the part numbers. You have to choose the model of the car and then on the pull down list go to engine mounts. The diagram shows what all the part numbers are.
I bought my mounts from i61motorsports, he's a new member on here and is working on a new website. If you just give him the part numbers he can hook you up. He got me a pretty good deal on mine. After me and him work out all the parts you need I'll make a final list of all the part numbers.

We are fitting up a 2006/2007 Japan spec Honda K24A engine soon. That's what we get in Australia.
So will let you guys know how the mounts work out and if any need to be swapped.
I'll compare pricing, but it might make sense to get them from i61motorsports as well.
Thanks for the update Chad.

The Aussie K24 & 6 speed manual mounts(Honda Accord Euro) are not compatible with the SL-R as expected.
We are going to grab a set of mounts from Aussie Honda Civic(K20Z3) and see if they are suitable. Which we want to know anyway for people wanting to use an Aussie K20.
Otherwise we will hurry up and get the mounts from i61motorsports if possible.
We are in a bit of a rush to get it sorted as this SL-R needs to be built in 6 weeks.

Craig from my research Accord mounts are different than Civic, FYI

Karlo, are you talking about the mounting points on the engine & gearbox itself. I've been told they have what looks to be the same mounting points, just different shaped mounts that attach the engine to the body.
Oh well, we will find out soon enough. :)

When an older civic wants to do a K20 swap people were finding out that the accord gearbox mounts were not compatible / easy to use with civics.
It might be a non issue since you are getting a raw frame and can make your own mounts.

A company called Boomba racing has come out with some Si mounts. They replace the stock mounts and look like they would work in the SL-R. $285.
Me likes the Boomba!
:)

Those are the best looking mounts I've seen.

Here are some more motor mounts. These haven't come out yet, they've just sold a few prototypes. They're $330 for the prototypes, I'm not sure how much the real ones will be. Again, I am NOT sure these will work.

I haven't seen any hasport mounts for the 06+ Civic Si. I could be wrong though.

This is my version of the rear mount. I wanted a smaller lighter and simpler version than Honda's version. When I started the engine without the rear mount, it moved way too much so in addition to adding the shown rear mount, I filled the front mount with silicone rubber. This system is much superior to the Atom's nearly solid mounts since it minimizes the vibration transfered to the chassis and still controls the engine movement.
Thank you Aloysius. That looks great!
Hey guys, this is just building on Chadillac's research. Here is a thread with details on Boomba racing's mounts, which now come in Red, Black, and "natural" aluminum finish. Boomba racing vs. Innovative used different front and rear mounts. One company keeps one that the other does not, and vice versa.
Page 7 has pictures of them installed. There are also detailed diagrams in that thread showing all motor mounts that are provided by both companies in contrast to one another.
